How it all began....


A corporate take-over followed by an unexpected re-structure meant, the now DJ, Neil Aldini, was facing redundancy - the push he needed to bring his concept, Aldini Music to you today.

Dedicated to one singular organisation for well over a decade, Neil now needed to focus within himself (not work) and during this time of self actualisation, Neil's natural talent boldly highlighted his true passion laid within music.

Neil's talents may never have been uncovered if it was not for a thoughtful Christmas gift of an "IDJ" by Numark that same year. By February, the dual IPOD "IDJ" simulating the role of a DJ was not enough and Neil personally developed his natural ear for beat mixing and sound utilising CD decks. Neil does not believe in modern day digital mixing where the computer not only mixes the tracks together for the user but tells them which tracks work best with others so, CD decks is as automated as he is willing to let technology aid his natural skills on the turntables.

Nothing makes Neil happier than to look up into a crowd in absolute hysteria, unable to stand still and understands this can only be reached through knowing what's hot right now and mixing this with diversity and flexibility, facilitating each set as it morphs into a masterpiece of audio heaven.Each set is considered by Neil as a journey and is fast becoming known for his originality, playing versions of tracks never heard before, causing such a stir some of Sydney's well known DJ's have been seen approaching Neil post a set, asking Neil to share the source of where certain track versions may be downloaded.

Residencies have been held at Jackson's on George - Sydney, Scruffy Murphy's - Sydney and regular guest appearances at The Marlborough Hotel - Sydney in addition to numerous pod casts held on local radio stations.

Internationally, Neil's resident radio set with EDM 1 Radio in Washington, PA & guest appearances on Muzo Phile in California.

Playlist - GIG - 9th February 2008 - Jackson's On George - 10pm till 2am

The Pool Bar started off being the happening room for the 1st few hours of the evening.. Worked into a bunch of jolly office people at a staff function that ended when I started so that helped the evening off to a good start!

A sad night for Jackson's to lose a great bar girl Kat... She's moving onto greener pastures and by the sounds of things this could be the start of a very successful career! Being a promoter for a serious of nightclub launches & events through out Sydney does sound more appealing than The Pool Bar at Jackson's (No offence meant!) and how good could this be for me! Kat has been part of the Jackson's team since I’ve held my residency on a Friday night! Kat loves everything I play!!! No word of a lie! She's never requested a track to hear... and always thanks & compliments me once the night is over on every shift I had the pleasure to have her working! The reason for this long winded playlist post... lol is a comment made by Kat that did me the world of good... I was having a headset hang-up over it week in its major form this week... Wasn't really in the mood to work what so ever with a migraine from hell but im glad the night happened! Comes to closing with the last song left... I go up to Kat to give her the option of what she wanted to hear for the last track... Her response was... "I love everything you do... so I’ll leave it up to you...! I was rostered down for George St Bar but requested to move to the pool bar just so my last night could be a good one" I thank you for that comment girl... You don't understand the point of no return I thought I was at till I heard those words! Woke up today feeling top of the world & back to concentrating on what I love doing the most! Last but not certainly the least.... The night started off lovely without a drop or sight of rain... Till 11:30... When it starts to bucket down & stay's like that for the rest of the evening/morning.. LOL Think I’ll through a "It's Not Raining Friday" party event if and when that actually will happen... Who knows.. With the clement change were having in Australia... I’m sure there close to relisting the seasons across different times of the year from what they are now... Sydney will have snow falling by 2010 in early January... and I can just see us all still saying "god we love summer"... lol
