As promised... Here is some background on DJ Jon Gordon (Owner of EDM Radio 1):
In 1989 after being out of the army for 3 years and bartending and doing security at various bars and nightclubs jon got tired of the dj's playing the same music over and over again and seeing alot of them doing the show for themself and not for the crowd that was there so he had built a great relationship with the one bar owner Ron Lacava in Ellwood City Pa where jon is from and asked him to borrow the money to buy a dj system and music so he could become a full time dj. Ron believed in jon and loaned him the money and DJ Flash was born.
Jon spun top 40 ,alt rock and retro music for the next 13yrs . then while spinning at Fat Tuedays in Akron Ohio he went with the owner and some friends to spring break in 2000 and ended up staying there for a few months as a resident dj at Senior Froggs after guest djing there his 2nd day on spring break. the following friday jon spun Darudes smash hit Sandstorm in front of 1,000's of people and the energy he felt off of them was unforgetable and no more did he want to spin top 40 and hip hop music. so when he came back to the states he moved from akron ohio to cleveland ohio where there was more of an electronic scene.
From 2000 to 2003 he had to spin top 40 and mainstream hip hop at clubs to include Rivers Edge, Jimmy's in the Flats,J.B. Fins - Hooters, and Fagans. At one of the clubs he spun at a girl gave him a cd to check out from the dj from Traffic ,E-Dog (Ernie Jameson) Jon loved the electronic songs on the cd and e dog was one of clevelands trance icon dj's so he met ernie one night and for the next 6 months ernie taught jon alot about the electronnic scene and how to be a edm dj. Jon wouldnt be the dj he is today without all the helpful insight from ernie.
In 2004 Guido ,the owner of O2 (an afterhours club) gave jon his first break and let him spin an afterhour show at his club.It was off the hook and he ended up spinning there for the next few months. While spinning at O2 the owner of Metropolis Jim Salopak asked him if he'd want to spin at Metropolis Nightclub (Clevelands largest club venue) and this begin over 2yrs of a dj residency there. where he got to spin shows with Paul Oakenfold,Armin Van Buuren,Darude,Max Graham,Donald Glaude,Dj Icey, Doc Martin,D:Fuse, Kenneth Thomas and others.
He also held residencies from 2003 to 2006 in cleveland at some of the biggest clubs to include Traffic, Spy Bar, Kaos,Beachcombers and Lucic's:
Jon also owns Edm Radio 1 an internet radio station where you can hear Sunday Global Listening party every sunday from 6pm to 11pm PST where there's local dj's to superstar dj's being showcased and jon spins a 2 hr set live.

His ability to read a crowd and keep the dance floor moving is a site to see and feel. Look out for jon in 2008 as he's moved to Vancouver Washington where he just signed with DP Entertainment who already got him a residency at one of the biggest clubs in Portland Oregon, Solo Nightclub. and others soon in Portland Oregon
Starting December 2007, Jon will also be a part of the new EDM trio The Power of 3 ( 3djs,3countries , 3 genres of music) that include DJ Neil Aldini from Australia and Miss Xs from the U.K. :
Jon's also been in the top 10 percent of dj's voted for on http://www.thedjlist.com for the past 3 years.
