How it all began....

A corporate take-over followed by an unexpected re-structure meant, the now DJ, Neil Aldini, was facing redundancy - the push he needed to bring his concept, Aldini Music to you today.

Dedicated to one singular organisation for well over a decade, Neil now needed to focus within himself (not work) and during this time of self actualisation, Neil's natural talent boldly highlighted his true passion laid within music.

Neil's talents may never have been uncovered if it was not for a thoughtful Christmas gift of an "IDJ" by Numark that same year. By February, the dual IPOD "IDJ" simulating the role of a DJ was not enough and Neil personally developed his natural ear for beat mixing and sound utilising CD decks. Neil does not believe in modern day digital mixing where the computer not only mixes the tracks together for the user but tells them which tracks work best with others so, CD decks is as automated as he is willing to let technology aid his natural skills on the turntables.

Nothing makes Neil happier than to look up into a crowd in absolute hysteria, unable to stand still and understands this can only be reached through knowing what's hot right now and mixing this with diversity and flexibility, facilitating each set as it morphs into a masterpiece of audio heaven. Each set is considered by Neil as a journey and is fast becoming known for his originality, playing versions of tracks never heard before, causing such a stir some of Sydney's well known DJ's have been seen approaching Neil post a set, asking Neil to share the source of where certain track versions may be downloaded.

Residencies have been held at Jackson's on George - Sydney, Scruffy Murphy's - Sydney and regular guest appearances at The Marlborough Hotel - Sydney in addition to numerous pod casts held on local radio stations.

Internationally, Neil's resident radio set with EDM 1 Radio in Washington, PA & guest appearances on Muzo Phile in California.

Neil is building his profile in the Sydney Gay Scene during 2008, details of future events, more information on Neil and complimentary downloads of some of Neil's sets can be found throughout his site - www.neilaldini.com

Playlist - GIG Thurs 7th June 2007 - Retail Has Talent - 7pm till 9:30pm

I rate this gig to be on top of the WORST list that i can ever recall doing!
I work for Sales Force & i believe the actual purpose of the function is something that is very unique & every company should put on a function like this for everyone!
I work for the Telstra Single Bill (Retail) Campaign that Sales Force Manages. The evening was called Retail Has Talent which basically meant PISS UP! lol
Laura Catalano that holds the Telstra Retail Sales Manager Role organised the night with help of the team leaders.
Retail Has Talent was an awards night for the group! Awards were given for the Best Drama Queen/King, Most Improved, Best Supporting Role and the list goes on!
The group could nominate themselves to preform any type of talent from Singing, Dancing or crowd participation painting... lol (Thanks to Hayden). They all had the chance to preform the act which was judged by the Project Management lineup!
So on a whole i had a great night as an employee but a shocking time as a DJ. If it wasn't for my club gigs thanks to Absolute Infinity! (You Rock!) i would have hung up my headsets for good!
Below is my very short playlist as i walked out an hour before i was suppose to!
